2021 FIM MiniGP World Series Champion Izan Rodriguez got a very special surprise on Friday at the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.
With 2021 FIM MiniGP Spain Series ambassador Pol Espargaro (Repsol Honda Team) and Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta on hand, Rodriguez was presented with a new 190cc Ohvale – as the FIM MiniGP World Series expands to include the new category from 2023 – in recognition of his achievement as the first ever Champion of the newest path on the Road to MotoGP™ last year.
The youngster from Valladolid was also given an invite to compete in the FIM MiniGP World Series Final in Valencia this season, where he’ll go up against the class of 2022 in the 160cc class!
